Our Phone System

If you need to call our office, the following instructions will help you navigate our internal phone system.

When you call our main Wilmington office at 910-341-0011, your call will be answered by our automated system. You will be given 5 options to choose from which will route your call to the appropriate department.

Press 0 for eye emergencies. This option should be used for callers requiring immediate assistance only. If a staff member is in the office, they will answer your call. If no one is available to answer your call, it will be routed to the emergency call center. They will take your information and contact the on-call physician. You will receive a call back shortly.

Press 1 for routine inquiries and scheduling. This option should be used for callers with general questions, appointment scheduling, rescheduling and to reach a specific staff member. Messages left at this extension are retrieved throughout the day and will be returned at the earliest opportunity. Do not leave emergency messages here.

Press 2 to reach the Supply office. Please choose this option to reach the staff in the Supply office on Wednesday’s only between 8am and 4pm. The office closes from 12pm-1pm for lunch. Calls to the Supply office are forward to the Wilmington office when the staff in Supply is unavailable to take your call. Do not leave emergency messages at this extension.

Press 3 to reach the Tech line. Please choose this option if you have a question for a technician. Messages left here are retrieved periodically throughout the day and will be returned at the earliest opportunity.

Press 4 to reach the Billing office. Please choose this option if you have a question about a bill you have received or for clarification of any charges billed. The billing department will return your call at the earliest opportunity.
